Hi Lykkers! No matter how much time I spend styling my hair, it never feels completely finished until I work a few drops of hair oil through the lengths.

That's the step that helps tame flyaways, adds a healthy-looking shine, and makes my hair feel noticeably softer. I've collected a few favorites over time, and while I enjoy using all of them, each one has its own personality. Here's how they compare after plenty of real use.

1. Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil – 4/5

Using this hair oil always feels like a little luxury. The texture is rich but surprisingly lightweight, so I only need a tiny amount to make my hair look glossy without feeling oily. My ends instantly feel smoother, and the formula leaves my hair looking healthy instead of flat. I also appreciate that it's made with Gisou's signature Mirsalehi Honey, which helps my hair feel nourished and hydrated. The only downside is the price. At $45 for the full-size bottle, it's definitely an investment, so I tend to save it for days when I want my hair to look especially polished.

2. Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil – 5/5

Every collection has one product that keeps proving why it's worth repurchasing. For me, this is it. The formula is so lightweight that I almost forget I'm wearing it, yet my hair immediately looks smoother and shinier. What makes it stand out even more is that it isn't just a styling product. It also helps support healthier-looking strands, so my hair feels better over time instead of simply looking good for a few hours. Even after multiple uses, it never leaves behind a greasy finish. It's easily the bottle I reach for most often.

3. Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Glossy Hair Oil – 4/5

The scent alone makes this hair oil fun to use. The signature Cheirosa 62 fragrance lingers gently in my hair and makes it smell amazing throughout the day. Beyond the fragrance, the formula does a wonderful job smoothing frizz and adding a glossy finish. My hair always feels softer after using it. Since my hair is on the finer side, I have to be careful with the amount because the texture is a little richer than the other oils I own. As long as I stick to one or two drops, it gives me beautiful results without making my hair feel heavy.

Trying different hair oils has taught me that the best formula depends on what my hair needs that day. Sometimes I want extra nourishment, sometimes I just want shine, and other times I need something lightweight that I can use every morning. Out of the three, Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil remains my favorite because it delivers everything I'm looking for without weighing my hair down.
