There’s just something exciting about buying a lipstick that feels a little “fancy,” even if other people might not consider it luxury. Sometimes it’s not really about the price tag — it’s the feeling of finally owning a product you’ve been eyeing for a long time.
These are two of my current “bougie” lippies that I’ve been loving lately, and honestly, each offers a completely different experience.

1. Estée Lauder Lipstick — Rose Tea 441

This was one of the first expensive lipsticks I ever bought, so it definitely felt special to me. The formula is creamy, comfortable, and glides on super smoothly with almost no effort. One swipe already gives strong pigment, which I really like because the color shows up beautifully without needing to layer too much. The shade itself looks very natural and wearable, making it easy to pair with everyday makeup. The formula is nice, but it still reminds me of a regular crème lipstick overall. I also wasn’t completely in love with the packaging since it didn’t feel as pretty as I imagined for such an expensive product.

2. Innisfree Dewy Tint Lip Balm

This product honestly became one of my holy grails so quickly. I loved it so much that I even got one for my mum too. The packaging looks adorable and elegant at the same time, and it feels way more expensive than its actual price. The formula is super moisturizing with a glossy finish that makes the lips look healthy and fresh without trying too hard. The only thing some people may not enjoy is the slight strawberry-like aftertaste. Personally, it doesn’t bother me much, but one of my friends really disliked it. The pigment is also quite light, though honestly that’s pretty expected since it works more like a tinted balm rather than a full lipstick.
Sometimes the best beauty products aren’t necessarily the most expensive ones. One product can feel luxurious because of the memory attached to it, while another becomes a favorite simply because it performs so well for the price. And honestly, both of these lippies have their own charm in completely different ways.
